The strongest argument for improving the lives of street cats through mass neutering hinges on article 56 of the Animal Protection Act, which states:

Art. 56. (1) In cases of an increased population of stray cats, the provisions of Art. 40 - 47, Art. 51, 52 and Art. 54 shall apply.

Everyone in Varna knows that the street cat population has been increasing. But we have collected data to prove it. Check out the results below!

City district Odesos count, 2024

During October 2023 - September 2024, we counted all street cats in the Odesos region of Varna, with the help of incredible volunteers.

2005 street cats

17.8%
